Corrective Maintenance and Procurement

Nordes US Corporation is a dynamic construction management and maintenance company, part of a Spanish holding group founded in 1997. We specialize in HVAC maintenance, small refurbishments, and construction management across the United States.

We are seeking a motivated Estimator to strengthen our project and financial oversight. This role combines preparation of quotes for Nordes’ own work (small refurbishments, HVAC repairs, technical upgrades), assistance with third-party cost control for construction projects, and development of vendor/manufacturer relationships to support a small-scale procurement function. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build a career at the intersection of cost management, estimating, and supply chain in a fast-paced environment.


General Accountabilities

  • Convert routine WOs into clear scopes with parts lists and photo evidence and produce a quote for the client.
  • Procure parts & manage logistics (ETAs, drop-ships, RMAs, warranties).
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotes for Nordes’ own jobs, including HVAC service/repairs, small refurbishments, and technology upgrades.
  • Understand and interpret project documents, including construction drawings, specifications, GC contracts, purchase orders, and lease terms.
  • Develop and maintain a vendor and manufacturer network, obtaining quotes and negotiating favorable terms for Nordes projects.
  • Maintain Approved Vendor List; ensure vendor packets (COIs, W-9s, safety docs) are complete.
  • Support a small procurement department: standardizing vendor onboarding, pricing comparisons, and purchase order processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and engineers to ensure costs align with project scopes and schedules.
  • Minor Works support (as requested by PM/CEO): run RFQs/leveling, recommend award, draft POs; PM/CEO hol approvals.
  • Review and analyze (as requested by PM/CEO) change orders from contractors and consultants.
  • Maintain detailed cost databases, historical records, and benchmarking tools for estimating accuracy.
  • Prepare periodic cost control reports for management, highlighting risks, savings opportunities, and budge performance.
  • Participate in bid evaluations, tender processes, and contract award recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in cost control, estimating, or procurement (internships/entry-level experience also considered).
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field will be a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating tools (Excel required).
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP and construction drawings.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Motivated to grow into procurement and vendor management responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary: Year 1 $50,000 - 60,000 depending on experience + bonus according to the goals of the company.
